BKL Back in Businesss 2009..are they the same quality?
« on: August 13, 2009, 07:24:28 PM »
Hi

I got a email from the Ecommerce manager of BKLTech.com that they are back into BKL mount production.

Has anyone bought or considered buying a BKL mount from the newly revamped BKL?

I have not seen many US retailers list them yet.

Regards Richard. :)

People on the Yellow say they are as good as ever.

And the finish is much improved.  Just bought a 260D7 for my Diana 46E, seems to be holding rock solid, and the finish is now nicely anodized.  The old ones I had, the finish seemed almost powdery, these are much nicer.  Hats off to Air Force for bringing these back to the market.  And at the same prices as before, incredible!  Later.

Dave,

I am also after the 260.

In your opinion, if I'm not sure of the droop is it better to go for the plain 260 or D4 or D7?

The middle of the road is D4. So I would think to go for the D4!.

Also who supplies the BKL in the US. Did you buy direct from Air force?

Richard

Bought directly from BKL, here's the link: http://www.bkltech.com/  As far as which one to go with, it depends on what rifle you're putting it on.  Diana rifles are known for their barrel droop, so I went with the D7.  That said, the first BKL mount I bought was for a Gamo CFX, and I used a D7 on that, too, with good results.  You might post what rifle you're going to be using, and see what experience others have had.  Later.
