Nice, very nice, ...
« on: August 18, 2009, 09:35:59 AM »
Just had a Crosman 800X (.22 cal) Turbo  Tuned by Gene, - I had already installed a GRT-III trigger - and wanted to try a couple of new pellets. ... This was inside at 35 ft, - too hot on the range today.
.
First test drive was using Benjamin Discovery 14.3 gr. hollow points. Kinda surprised, most fit pretty well, but still there was more variance than I expected, - some a tad loose, and a few damn tight. ... (Maybe a shipping problem???)
.
Next up was Beeman round nose "Field Target Specials" - about 14.3 gr. also. ... LIKE these a LOT, - I'd say a tad more zip, and very accurate. I have no doubt these will do just fine out on the range.
.
These pellets, and what amounts to a new gun, - life is good.

Life is good my friend,.. with a tuned weapon and the FTS pellets,..it will only get better. I'm a fan of the Beeman FTS's,...they really are a step up from the "Big Box" store brands!! Wait until you try the JSB Exact Jumbo's!!!! Then you'll really be tickled pink. tjk
