I myself have come to realize that sometimes you may have never met this friend face to face, but through a box plugged into the wall. But this thing we call friendship go's beyond these bounderies.I too have only been a member here for a short spell, and have been treated like one of the family and to a few like a brother. Recent event,s have proved the true meaning of friendship and you know who YOU are and I thank you.! Gene and Bob ,Thank's for putting together a site where bird's of a feather stick together and to ALL my fellow member's for their priceless knowledge I've recieved and continue to recieve from each of you. You hit the nail on the head Ed... With all kidding aside it is a great thing to be able to make great friends in this forum and others as well... Twenty years ago we were limited to our geographical locations and now we can have the best of friends all over the world..

Doc says the latest xray is 99 % clear, no fever, white cell count OK, blood gas OK and they're going to try and take him off the ventilator tomorrow. PTL, PT-GTA and all our friends, family and acquaintances who have been pulling for us.If he takes off breathing on his own OK, I think he'll be on the road to recovery. That's the next hurdle. He usually has something to say about everything, so after the tube is out, he'll probably hurt his throat more by talking than the tube did!

Yea, everyone is mostly ok now.  Wife is still sniffly, but she worked today, smal son is amazing and fine all of the sudden, I am still getting fatter and balder since quitting smoking(8 weeks no ciggies yesterday, 35th birthday tomorrow, yuk!), and my other two sons have been a huge help.  All in all I'd say we are going in a better direction.  Thanks for all of the kind words, glad to hear that your son is doing better Rick.
