Loving my Remington Vantage 1200?!

I got a Remington Vantage 1200 at Dicks for $99. I don't know if they have them everywhere and I know they don't have them online...but it lists for $229, is sold most places for $179 was $119 in store, and I had a $20 OFF coupon, which brought it to $99. I started shooting it with Kodiak Double Gold, and it was a little wild. Then tried JSB Diabolo Exact Heavy .177 Cal, 10.2 Grains, Domed...and was shooting .75 groupings or less at 20 yards before I'd even got 250 pellets through. Powerful gun, inexpensive, reasonably accurate, feels right. I think it was an awesome bargain purchase!

you know... i have being eyeing the remington summit... i think i need it. Do you know what Dick's sells them for? where did you get the coupon?

The online store says $189 for the Summit...$209 at Pyramydair...lists at $289. I have a card with the Dicks store and they send 'offers'. That and I have coaching certificates for working with the kids locally. I forget which I used, but both were $20 off purchase of $100 or more. The price on the Vantage is $136 at Pyramyd, so I got it for about 40% off their price!

yea there is a dicks in Newark, DE that is selling the Vantage for $99 as well,  also the G1 extreme.

Gene, I can show pictures...wanna see the gun or the .25 grouping I shot first thing after getting home from work while thinking about my boss?

I'm sure this gun will become number 2 after I get my TF89 back from you. No doubt the 1200 will need a tune after I break the spring -- I hear those springs don't last long. I've been working on refining my muzzle brake design. After you do that for me, this gun will be something to look at!

Actually, I did the .25 group! I brought it in the house and showed my wife and said "Now I can retire from shooting!" Regretfully I went out and tried to repeat it.

I bet I can do a one hole group with 20 shots,,,it just might be a big hole!
