Good Grief Charlie Brown.
« on: August 27, 2009, 04:50:57 AM »
Charlie Brown may have had his Pumpkin Patch....but I have my Watermellon Patch.  And it is over whelming.
Since I have been busy with things that require more personal attention,I had not visited the garden for almost a month.   I decided to walk down to the garden area today.  My yard is cross fenced with privacy fence so I cannot just see the garden from the other parts of the yard.   Boy was I surprised when I opened the gate.  Watermellon vines had taken over everything,  I mean everything.  It looked like Kudzu had taken hold.  And mellons hid everywhere under the vines.

Even my 3 pitbulls seemed surprised.  They would not walk in the vines and stayed at the gate where they could at least see thier feet.

Going to call my son and have him load up most of these mellons and sell them up at the lake for the upcoming Labor Day.
Gentleman of Fortune.

Hum-bug!
