Lets start a list.  When we get ten, I will post them in summary form.  These will not be "best" or "ranked" -- just favorite shootin flicks.

Mine is the one identified in my posting picture: "The Shootist"  -- In my book, this is the film that John Wayne should have gotten an oscar for. This was the Duke's last film and he was himself dying of cancer at the time the film was made.  Another of my favorite actors, Jimmy Stewart, plays the doc who tells John Bernard Books, a gunfighter, that he is dying of cancer.  Among the other actors are Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, Hugh O'Brian, Richard Boone, Harry Morgan, and John Carradine. Great plot, good action, and a good moral story.

For those of you that are also John Wayne fans, did you know this:

The first one that comes to mind is Shooter.I have to think about this, there are so many...

Yep I almost went with Shooter too, since it was fresh in my mind, but Shootist is a classic.  I caught Shooter couple weeks ago (kept it on the DVR), great action and get the bad guys film!

Not sure if this one qualifies, but it has guns and shooting.

ElDorado with John Wayne and several other famous names.
Some of my favorite scenes are when James Cahn fires is sawed-off double barrel shotgun. Not quite as accurate as Mr. Quiggly, but he does make an impression on you! :)

For me it would be "High Noon" with Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly (She's hot and this is her first major role I believe).  Next would be the recent movie "Shooter".

I will throw one more into the mix, as it is primarily rifle (sniper) related, and I would venture that not many have seen it: "Enemy At The Gates"  -- 2001 movie about the battle for Stalingrad, and supposedly based on a true story. (Jude Law. Ed Harris, and Ron Perlman)

This is the rifle used in the movie "Shooter" I think.  It is good to know that we have some guys on our side that can shoot like this!
