Made My Wife Scream Today.

While my wife was out doing what she likes to do most (Shopping and looking at new houses) I decided to consider shooting down the hallway in the house.
Mainly on those rainy winter days.  Since the hall is 4 feet wide and almost 50 feet long, and I just needed 30 feet an indoor range is doable.  The guest restroom is at one end and the pantry is on the other.   Anyway my wife comes back early and notices me measuring and such and asks what I am up to.  The fact that she stopped to question what I was doing was different since it is the first time she has ever asked what I was up to.

I explained that I was measuring 30 feet for shooting the AGs indoors on rainy days.

Well, she squalled like a scalded dog....Are You CRAAAAZZZZZYYYYYY?    The walls trembled.  She was seriously questioning my judgement.   Anyway the conversation degraded from there and she left to go shopping .....again.

I think I will set up some stuff just to make her believe I was shooting in the house while she was gone.

Or you could do what I do and......just shoot in the house while she's gone, then you wont have to "make blelieve" anything, just prove a fact:)

I shoot in the house during the winter.  I shoot from the diningroom table, through the kitchen, through the laundryroom, then out into the garage.  My wife doesn't like it much, but she understands that shooting is something I need to do to unwind a little.  It's like how I have a pair of work shoes, a pair of dress shoes, and some flip flops, whereas she owns a pair of shoes for every day of the month...I shoot, she buys shoes, I'm ok with that.  She still has no idea what some of my guns are worth, and I can live with that as well:)

I had the same problem with my wife when I was shooting in our house hall way.... she screamed .... you are crazy ... you are contaminating the house with lead.... I have an iron custom pellet trap, nothing fall out.  But I still shoot in the hall way when  rains.

I also made my wife Scream today Bogey,

I cleaned and vacuumed our bed room, hung the new curtains that she just bought, washed her quilt, and made the bed ! When she entered the bedroom I had a few scented candles lit, she screamed !!!!!

Then told me that she was so tired from shopping Oh Well :p

Nothing makes a man more attractive to his wife than her seeing him with the vacuum cleaner deployed.  Don't confuse tactics with domestication!!

Hey Pete,

I'm not domesticated, I just know when to beat out the typhoon, and if you prepare for the storm, sometimes you get lucky ! But so far, not this time :0
