Nailed a pigeon
« on: March 01, 2007, 12:40:34 PM »
I was in the basement workshop today installing the scope and mount on my newly arrived B26-2 .177
The basement is a little dark so I went into the backyard (better light conditions) to adjust the eye relief on the scope.  As I walked into the backyard I saw a pidgeon sitting in one of my maple trees.  I snuck back down the basement stairs, put the B26-2 down and picked up the closest gun, which was one of my .177  $74 wallyworld S1k's clearance guns.  Loaded a Crosman Domed and snuck back into the yard.

The pidgeon had moved to another tree, now 30 yards out, but I had a clear shot so took it.  Heard the pellet slam home,,,, pigeon dropped like a stone.

I love that rifle combo,,,,, $74 bucks plus $27 for the Golden Antler,,,, and a dead pidgeon to boot :)

I'm beginning to think that all the game I'm looking for moved over to your territory.

Nice shooting Jeff!

Hey Ed,

You hit the nail right on the head,,,,, gonna have pidgeon for lunch tomorrow.  mmm mmmm good.  :)

Nothin better than bacon wrapped pidgeon basted with herb butter and broiled until it's just golden brown.

Gush Jeff,

Describing it that way makes it sound good.

But never-you-mind, it's still a pigeon, yauk.

Keep-up-the-good-shootin !
