Yes, I wasn't able to keep my head out of my arse for too long ! I tried to shoot using a target hold, it worked well for me in the past, but either I need a lot of more practice using it, or that was in the past !

Hey Bill, the target hold....is that the one where the forward arm is all tucked in with the upperarm resting on your chest/ribcage?  If that's the one you're talking about.....I did that for quite a few matches when the GTA matches started last fall/winter.  The rifle is alot steadier.....but my bicep get so tired after a few shots due to it being cramped.  That resulted in shaking which made the shots even more terrible.....so I went back to the "regular"....more relaxed extended front arm position.

And yes everybody......post even the best of your worst target sheet.  No shame in that.....at least you gave your best shot....so to speak.

That's the hold Stan, I think it works better with a heavy rifle though, and maybe a bit more practice. I only used that hold until I missed four bullseyes, then went back to my normal hold. I rest the forearm of the rifle on my left hand, with my elbow down to the left at a 45 degree angle ? That's my hunting hold, but it does work with some success.

Some day I will try with my shooting jacket, glove and boots on, just to see if that helps any. It just takes so long to put all that on, and then take it off after 35 rounds ! And it's hard to cock the springer with all that padding on !

I have noticed thatANY change in pressure on the foe end will change the POI for the worse :-(
