New Tech Force PCP
« on: September 10, 2009, 02:13:57 PM »
Well kinda new. It's a QB-78 running on high pressure air. Here is the e mail I got.

Nathan

Tech Force 78 PCP Air Rifle

This dynamic bolt action air rifle is a product-improved version of a very popular air rifle. It's operated by 3000 psi. It features a single stage, two-way adjustable trigger with a trigger safety. It has been praised for both its accuracy and its overall high quality. Once it is filled, there is no pumping and no worry about the temperature outside. Just shoot until the gun needs to be re-charged. The Tech Force 78 PCP airgun has a 3000 psi fill level and can be filled with compressed air using a high pressure hand pump or scuba tank (not included). The PCP tube and valve are made right here in the USA and assembled here in the USA. (Pcitured with a Tech Force 6-24x40TGT Target scope and high mounts not included.)

The styling very plain...
Think they need to go back to the
styling drawing board...
may be able to make it look something...

FPS seem ok ..

 http://www.airgun-supply.com/benjamin_discovery_pre_charged_pneumatic_air_rifle_and_pump.html

At $199, then having to find an air source,it will cost more than buying the complete discovery and pump :o

You also get the customer service from the benji folks with the Discovery. :)

I would like to see the reviews stock out of the box comments. If there better than what the reviews i have read of the discovery,Then I might ditch my plans on the discovery and purchase the TF-78....But then i need a pump :o and they are expensive! :0

Really?  I was about to buy a Disco and I don't think the QB triggers are that great.  So is the Disco trigger that bad?  I've seen the Disco's now going for $150 w/o pump.

High on my dream list is a PCP but if I ever do get one it will have to be one of the lower cost ones. I have been eyeing the Disco but this thread makes me wonder about the Disco's trigger. Like Andy asked, Is the Disco's trigger that bad?  Thanks!   Terry

I just got a .177 Disco and the trigger is fine.  My rifle is shooting fantastic groups and all I did was take it out of the box, wipe it down and slap a scope on it.   There are quite a few easy tweaks for the trigger if you do decide that you want to improve it.  I believe TKO sells complete drop in trigger kits for a good price.... and there's also alot of info around about the "3 screw" trigger tune.  But the trigger on my new Disco is really just fine for me the way it is....

Gene,,, as for the $155 price on the Disco........................ here it is...............................................

It appears they only have the .177 but that is a super price if you just want a rifle and no pump.....

lil'feeby, try this number 305-281-0934, that's Jorge's cell phone and that's how I got through to Jorge at Sunshine Airguns. Sometimes he's hard to get thorugh to. I have a Disco and pump in .177 on order from him for $269 that for some reason didn't get shipped. I called him on a Saturday and he said he would look into it for me. He later e-mailed me and said it would be shipping out. I keep looking out the window for the Brown Santa, if I don't get it soon my head is going to explode.

Charlie,

i don't live too far from miami. i go over there about once a week and i am going to go to the showroom and see if i can buy something face to face. i have never done business with them but their phone is not in service, and i can't reach him on the other line. the prices seem to good to be true and for that reason i will only do a face to face transaction. i will probably go over there thursday, and i will let the forum know what's what.
