Crosman 760 prevails again.
« on: March 04, 2007, 03:14:50 AM »
Darn Stalings just won't give up. Had 5 of them maraurding the feeders. A few warning shots with the S1K did nothing and they were too close for the S1K to shoot. So I cleaned the spider webs off the old pumpmaster and cranked it up to 10. The pics tell the rest. Still waiting for the other 3 birds to show up again.

Excellent shootin there Greg !!  Nice pic too.  Sometimes it's nice to pick up one of the "older" guns and get the job done isn't it?  I have an old Sheridan Blue Streak .20 cal pumper I bought new when I wa 12 years old and I love to pump that thing up and shoot it.  I've taken quite a few pidgeons and starlings in the yard with that gun.  I remember saving up my allowance and all my odd job money for weeks to finally have enough $ to buy that gun. I remember my mom had to walk down to the sporting goods store to buy it for me.  Lotta good memories in that gun and it's still making more.

Anyway, I got off topic a bit,,,,,, congrats on 2 fine kills.  I'm looking forward to the pics of the "other 3"  :)

Thanks Jeff. I think I was 12 years old when I got my first air rifle. Oh the memories. You are so right. I think this 760 of mine is around 17 years old. Still love to shoot it especially when my quarry is to close for the S1K. Still waiting on those other 3 strays. Just a matter of time. BTW,..my mother called and said she needs some maraurders removed at her house..he-he. Will bring the S1K over later and do some clean-up.

Thanks guys. Well it looks like the last 2 Starlings are free for another day. Maybe they learned a lesson! Havn't seen them after #3 went down. If they do come back I will have more pics to share.
