New breech
« on: September 19, 2009, 08:34:08 PM »
Thought I would have a play around & make
me own  long riser breech for my 22xx...
To get a RJ-machine breech/bolt is more than the
prise of the 2240..
Made the whole thing at home in the little 7x14
mini lathe ... didn't need  works gear..
Didn't have a dovetail cutter so used a 6mm
ball nose slot drill...looks like it will work....

a good clean up & coat of black..it should look ok...

Pete, That's some great looking work. If that's just playing around I would hate think what you could do if serious:)  Very nice, Tony.
