Hey guys, i finally started the refinishing process of my little discoveries stock. i feel a shooter as good a this 1 is just doesn't deserve the finish it was given..i have already sanded it down and have picked a color.. i kept sanding till i got to 1500 grit paper...she's as smooth as Tennessee whiskey now boys. now i just need help with the rest of he process. i figured this would be te perfect place to receive help on my lil adventure. i found a real nice pecan stain. all help and advise will be appreciated..there is still some stain left on the gun..i don't know how to get it all off..

You could either sand out the old stain or bleach it out. I'm not sure, but the stain that crosman uses seems to be mixed with the finish. It'll preobably have to be sanded out.

Make a 50/50 solution of bleach & water then drip a bit on the stained areas. Then rinse well. You'll have to finish sand the raised grain again though.

If that doesn't work... Break out the sand paper again.

well its been a while but im finally almost finished with the lil disco stock..i have to say that this has been a great learning experience for me...i have 3 coat of tru oil and use 0000 steel wool between coats ..im goin to put 3 more coats on it to bring out the great walnut grain this particular  stock has..i used 2 coats of golden pecan stain. and it really made the grain pop and it looks amazing..hopefully ill have some pics up soon..any 1 have any tips to finish up with?
