A parallax setting of 100 yards will not be suited for airgun use, it's designed for powder burners. At closer ranges you will more than likely get parallax induce accuracy error. You would be better off looking for a scope that has an adjustable objective (AO). Most of the AO scopes designed for firearms will only focus down to 25 yards, though. But that is better than 100 yards

I have had a Centerpoint 4-16 X 40 from Wally World on my Air Hawk for 2 years. AO down to 5 yards with Mil Dot and IR. At $70 it is a great value. Get a 1 piece HIGH mount and you are good to go. I also have a Leapers Golden Image 3-9 X 32 on my Panther. AO down to 6 yards Mil Dot no IR. It is pretty decent. It has lasted 2000+ so far. Whatever you decide you should get a scope with Mil Dots for the multiple aim points.
