Yes, I'm sure the TF89 would "spank" the B25 but the B25 scoped can be had for $140 and the TF89 scoped is $210. Okay so I need to advance past the 12 oz curls but I can shoot my B25 all day long and I'm not sure I'd like to shoot the TF89 all day long. That power differential comes also with a differential in effort to cock one! I'd seriously like to compare cocking effort on a tuned TF89 versus a stock B25. If you'd just send me your 89 I'd do the comparison. ;-)
I think for hunting and plinking the 740 fps with a 14.4gr pellet is sufficient. Yes more is better but that is why I have a Career 707 in .22. Just have to make sure I'm wearing my muffs! Hoowee is that baby LOUD!
Darn, I just looked and a TF89 for $135 unscoped isn't such a bad deal. How are the iron (plastic?) sights on a TF89?
Wow this is wandering...guess I'll go back to my philosophy which is you buy rifles in pursuit of that "perfect" one...then you buy more hoping to get one even better. Where does this madness end? Isn't life great!
