replacement of bad rifle (Sierra Pro) is in the mail!

After much deliberation and consideration between the RWS 34 Panther and the Gamo 440, I decided on the Gamo 440.

Maybe one day if I get a .22 air rifle, I'll go with the RWS.

The Gamo 440 was $119.00 at Natchez.  To save shipping costs, I went ahead and ordered a BSA 2-7/32 AO scope for another $49, even though I won't have the mount for a few more weeks.

In a few weeks, I'm going to get the accushot mount ya'll recommended from pyramid air for $20 (with shipping).

I also plan to get Charlie's trigger.  I can't get the mount and trigger right away because there are a few small items I have to get next paycheck for turkey season, but after that, I'll finish dressing up the Gamo.  All total, when I'm done, I'll have a total of around $240 (shipping and everything) invested for a scoped Gamo 440 with a Charlie trigger.

I'm looking forward to it.  I don't expect this one to break within 2000 shots like the 3 Crosman Chinese guns that I tried!

This is funny, but we actually had an American made gun break in 5 months.  Maybe I'm jinxed or something.  Believe me, we are not rough on the guns!

My son has a .22 Daisy SG 10-pump he used this past squirrel season.  It no longer holds air.  It's under warranty, so I'm sending it to be repaired after I receive the Gamo...I can use the Gamo box to ship it in.  I was kind of surprised, because my sons have always had Daisy pump guns while growing up, and they last for years and years with no trouble.

I'll write back after my Gamo arrives and I've tried it out.  I really appreciate the good advice everyone gave.

thanks!

Congratulations on the 440.  I think you're going to be very satisfied with the setup, and you got it for a great price to boot.  Once you pop Charlies trigger in the gun you're gonna think you died and went to airgun heaven !!  Be sure to let us know how you like it after you receive it.  Again, congrats.
