Dome pellets at 30 yds
« on: October 10, 2009, 11:51:29 AM »
I just posted my target for this week on the 30 yd front rest section. this is the first time I have tried CPl's pellets I have seen many posts here about them and how good they are but when ever I would order them from PA they would be out of stock or PA didn't like the type of debit /gift card I was using anyway on Friday I got a box and a couple tins of JSB exacts also. When I first started playing around with then I was shooting at my 50 ft target and it looked like the exacts were going to be the better of the two. When I switched to the 90 ft /30 yd target the CPL's just outdid everything else I had. Before all I used was RWS Super domes but the CPL's made much better groups without any scope adjustments. This is a comparison of all the dome pellets I have.

Yes, I've read a few mentions of how well Crosman Premier Light's group.  I've never tried them yet.....but your group of them looks great.  How much do the Lights weight?  Btw, are we talking about the .177 or .22's?

Hmmm, wonder why they call them "Light".....since most of the general Crosman stuff is 7.9gr also.

They call them light because the other Crosman dome pellet Crosman premier heavy is 10.2 g

Very interesting:) I think I may try the cp lights again and see what happens, its always amazing to me how the different pellets and weights make such a big change in POI even at 10yds! I have a gamo shadow that only likes 8.2gr meisterkugeln and rws basics 7.0gr which I think are too light!!  it drives me nuts why it doesnt like cpls or any heavier pellets. Tony

My Crosman Sierra Pro ONLY likes Gamo Match pellets.....all the rest don`t even come close.  So I ordered 20 tins from Joe Cuz.......
