i actually had some fun with a pcp....
« on: October 11, 2009, 11:57:29 AM »
first i would like to say i hate pumping the stupid thing up but i had some fun this weekend playing with the discovery.  i did the 3 screw trigger mod and fitted a power adjuster to it.  it took about an hour and $10 worth of parts.  i eliminated the first stage of the trigger and it shoots like a powder-burner trigger now which i really like.  it  has about a 1lb. pull.....very light.  i did a quick mod on the hammer spring with some guidance from a friend in alabama on the phone.  it is now shooting kodiak extra heavies around 915-920 fps.....a little over 19 fpe....i consider that great for a .177.....i like exteme power!!...i'm getting around 25 good shots per fill and maybe that's why my arms are sore..ha!!!....i already eliminated 2 tree rats, a crow, and a  blue jay.  i plan on using this gun to teach my granddaughter to shoot so i will definately turn the power down but for now i'm in the "gray" area about the DARK-SIDE.  timmy will probbly want this gun back when he shoots it.....HE HAS FIRST DIBS ON IT.!
