Pellet Pen Loader
« on: October 13, 2009, 04:01:21 AM »
All right has anyone every tried this little device?  I like the idea, just curious if anybody has put it to use yet.  I was thinking it would help cut down on noise of pellets while hunting.  But toilet tissue also does the trick lol!  Anyway just let me know if anyone has any feedback Thanks!

To me it's just one extra step when loading.  Don't forget you still have to load the pen, then use the pen to load your gun....pure gimmick!  Hunting, in the snow with gloves on, "maybe", but I wouldn't try handling a gun with gloves that cover my fingertips anyways.

Actually just noticed their address, looks like they are pretty close to you Kevin, maybe you could just drive up and save on shipping to try it out?

guess it would probably be good for keeping your fingers out of the way when it beartraps on you..  As long as you don't get pen shrappnel and pellets flying in your face!

You know at first I did not notice that......but since I found the Crossman version at Air Guns of Arizona for $5.95.  I am deciding which one to try $5.95 or $24.99 grant it they are both a little different (same concept).  The jury is still out on this one!

Looks like a good idea for break barrel AG's with gloves, I would like to try one out:) Not sure if it would work with my side lever load port!  I would  be interested if someone has tried it out ?? and if the pellet skirts are stretched as they push together..the 10.5gr CP's in my Gamo and 34 takes some pressure to seat it properly and I sometimes use a round end of a plastic drink stir when paper punching:) Tony

Last night I watched the video for the product on the Compasseco site,,,,, looks interesting.  The only time I'd use such a device would be, like the others have said, during very cold weather with gloves on,  but it does look interesting.  Then again, I've found that most times things don't work as well as they're advertised to work.....  have to think about it....    :)

Yuppers, I noticed that after I posted this, cheaper to order it from AoA and have it delivered than to drive across town and pick one up...go figure.  I think AoA charges like $9 or so minimum shipping, which would still put you a few duckets richer in the end.  Let us know how it works out.
