« on: October 14, 2009, 06:22:00 AM »
I finally got around to installing a crosman long metal breech, williams rear sight, orange fiber front sight, trigger spring pressure reduction, trigger and sear polish:) It is now close to how it should be..all I need now is some nice wood grips suggestions welcome as i need to make it ambidextrous:)  Oh and I spent 30mins looking for the safety ball and spring it fell out..which I knew was going to happen but forgot to put saftey in on postion LOL:) I can laugh now if you know what I mean ! I can not wait to practice with it some more so far is fantastic , its like having new gun:) Tony.

Looks just like mine now except I don't have the fibre optic front sight. I'm not sure if that would help or hurt with my eyes.
Personally, I'm skipping the upgraded grips. Something to be said for having this much fun with something I have less than $120 invested in.  :-)  (unlike everything else I own...)

I shot mine alot along side the kids while they were shooting airsoft last week (7 hours over 2 days) and it paid off. I haven't posted it yet but I shot a new personal hi score in the 10m match with mine this week. I might need another one.

Love your range... I had a space just like that in my old house but that was before I re-discovered airguns.

I can't wait to see your new personal best score, congratulations in advance:) My eyes are not as good as they used to be and anything up close ( like a rear sight  lol ) is not very clear :(  but I did find the fiber optic tip has helped me alittle. I lucked up on fiber optic fire sale and got 3 really nice sets with at 75 percent discount! I can not wait to get home and do some more practice, I am having a lot of fun with these new 1377 mods and  may end up liking the grips as they are. Tony.

Did the same last February, world of difference.

Before gluing I've cut a v-shaped notch and after the glue had hardened cut of what sticked out.

Tony; your 1377 is coming along nicely . For some ambi wood grips , check with Ralph at RBGrips ( http://www.rbgrips.net/ ) I believe what he calls "replacement" grips are ambi . Send him an email , he usually gets back to you within a day . Right now he's running about 2 weeks behind getting orders out . Not a bad wait , it'll get longer soon toward Christmas . I just ordered a 1377 Sportsman set in green/black laminate for one of my 1377's and a set green/brown grips for another . kirby
