First Blood
« on: March 11, 2007, 10:07:54 AM »
Got me a sparrow.... not bragging rights, but he's been building a nest in my Cardinal
nest box for a few days now....
I got it at about 15yards, right though the eyes. The scope is magic. I was looking at his
beady little eye through the scope on 6X, I have to admit that I never thought that
I'd actually hit it.
Anyhow the newest AG in the family gets the nod.

Good shooting and great pic.  Congrats on your first kill with the rifle.  I'm sure they'll be many more.

Thanks guys, the "eye" on the board is a CFX pellet hitting it at 25 yards. (around 800fps)
This is.... was my back-stop board I used to dial in the scopes yesterday.... not too functional
now LOL. (3/4" particle board)
The pic of the back of the board is of the exit "wounds" cased by the RWS 350 and GAMO 1250,
they just blow right through it.
If you look at the pic of the front of the board you will see a CFX pellet or two, just below the surface.
this is tough stuff and worked real well un till I got the Magnums.... I'll have to double it up.

Pretty amazing, that board is regular shelving board, 3/4" pressed / particle board. It's strong stuff. I have
a 32" Sony TV stood on a shelf I made with it.
The 350 makes it look like it's made of paper.... Man I do not want to get shot by that rifle ;-)

Nice shooting Silo. I hope Ed doesn't put notches in his guns, he wouldn't have much left.
