Sling Swivel on Gamo Vipe

Hi ,First time posting,need idea ,already. I have a Gamo Viper,with a barrel shroud dia. of .985, Uncle Mikes,does not make loop style bands that large ,any ideas,thought about drilling and tapping but was told shroud is pretty thin, Any ideas,i feel lost with out a sling. Thanks

Hey Paul and welcome to the forum,

Straightshooters.com sells a nice sling, one is web material the other is leather.  They are both loop type slings, that is they have an adjustable loop at either end, one goes over the barrel the other over the stock.  Works pretty good.  Walmart also sells the same type of sling.  I have a couple of the Walmart slings and I'm very happy with them.  Believe it or not the Walmart slings cost me $5.99 apiece, which is the regular selling price.  The other nice thing about them is that you can remove it off one rifle and use on another any time you want.  

Anyway, just one option.  Again, welcome to the forum, and if you airgun hunt be sure to post your hunting stories and pics in the "Hunting Gate",,, we just love those stories and pics.......   :)

Ya that is right Paul, I have seen the Viper's and the shroud is very thin metal.. Someone here is bound to pop in with an idea for you..
