Fell out of a moving truck yesterday.......
« on: October 30, 2009, 11:05:01 AM »
And yet ANOTHER great day at the office!

I was riding in the passengers seat of a coworkers service truck at work. He neglected to tell me that the door had a screwed up latch and sometimes "pops open" . Well, he was doin about 20-25 MPH and I was leaning against the door with my arm hanging over the window sill. He makes a left turn, door springs open and I go flying out like a 7 year old superman impersonator. To top it all off, the truck didn't have seatbelts because it's an "On-Site Only" truck.

The first thing that went through my mind was "SON OF A B*TCH!!!" Next thing I know, I'm rolling end over end SIDEWAYS  cartwheel style as opposed to scrunching down and rolling like a ball.

After spending 5 hours in emergency I ended up getting 9 stitches in my left forearm, 3 stitches on the left side of my head,  had my right stinkfinger popped back into place  ( I actually did that in the truck on the way to the hospital), multiple band aids applied, x-rayed, poked, prodded and told that I have a mild concussion. Also possible back and neck injuries (won't be able to tell until Monday supposedly). Not to mention the heavily bruised left ass cheek from landing 3 times on the flashlight that was in my back pocket.

The funny thing is, the guy who I was riding with is the same guy I rebuilt the RWS34 for. Strange how things turn out sometimes uh?

Needless to say, I'm in some pretty bad pain at the moment. It's taking me quite a while to write up this post. Especially with a bad stinkfinger!!! On a good note though, the cute nurse liked me!!! But she got kinda upset when I told her I was married.

Nah... That's the LAST thing I want! Hell, I tried to go back to work today, but they sent me home to "Heal" and the doc put me on light duty for the next couple weeks. Should've just shot me and got it over with. They're gonna have me workin in the office... I HATE offices! Gimme a greasy machine, arc welding stinger and my wrenches ANY day!

The next coupla weeks are gonna be torture for me.
