I just found this video about the air rifle that was carried on the Lewis & Clark expidition. A 22 shot repeter operating at 800psi and deadly at 100 yards ! Interresting...

Great find! I had heard about them having the gun but to see the reproduction was cool!

Being a Lewis & Clark fan so to speak, I was aware they had an air gun, and used it to impress a few folks from time to time. That's one great video, shows how impressive that gun actually was.

Just imagine, 1500 pump strokes to charge it ! And we whine about 150 strokes to charge our Discos.
