Timmy one of thew reasons I am putting pictures in this is to help a fellow carpenter so I can share how I do the inleting work and shaping of a stock . Maybe what I am doing will help someone else in their effort, you know as well as I do it's all in the planning and getting things in the right order of or some times you can't go to the next steap if you cut away the wood you need as a guide to make a cut. I have built a router table as part of my table saw so I can use the rip fence as a guide for routing , I mark the both sides of the cutter on the table so I know there it is and then mark the stock so I know where the cut is to end since I can't see the blade. using multable cut's you will be able to get the depth you need for the action.
