New H&N Pellets
« on: November 04, 2009, 06:38:38 AM »
I got an email from Pyramyd Air with a link to a new airgun reporter video. It was on the new H&N pellets. I have read that H&N is Beeman, but the video makes it seem like it is separate. Paul talks about their good packaging and quality control.

Video: http://www.pyramydair.com/video/video.shtml?vidego_video_uuid=y8t5xf36

Has anyone used the new pellets? I did like the look of the Rabbit Magnum II's for a hunting pellet in a .22 springer.

Yep that was a great video review that Paul did on them H&N pellets. I am gonna make an order tonight with Pyramyd Air for some of the H&N Field target specials .177. I will be doing a review on them with my ProSport and HW 97. Always seeking tighter groups..:)

Pretty good price. $11.59 VS $15.70 for Beeman to have them relabeled.

I ordered 4 tins of H&N Field Target Trophy .177 Cal, 8.64 Grains, Domed, 500ct from Pyramyd tonight. With coupon code and shipping it was $40.00 for 2000 pellets. Should be enough to test them out on a few of my air guns..:)

I ordered a sleeve of Beeman Finale Match Pellets (rebranded H&N) from PA.  They came with a Beeman sticker on the tins to cover the H&N logo, and the sleeve was plastic wrapped with tape around the individual tins, as expected.  However, when opened the pellets were dull and gray, looking as if they had oxidized.  I opened another tin and the pellets were also looking oxidized, not bright and shiny like RWS Meisterkugelns.  Is this their proper appearance or did I receive a sleeve that was somehow abused?

I noticed the same thing dullness with the finale match 7.6gr the ones in the plastic hand picked box... they look to be similar to the beeman 7.8gr wads in the tin! I will have to order some beeman Fanale match pellets(rebranded tin) and check those out:)   Best I can tell it makes no difference its all just a lube type..IMO I dont think you got a abused pellets.   I like it better as the shiny lube ones leave more lead on your fingers. I cannot believe it..:) Pyramyd is sold out of the H&N Field Target Trophy .177 Cal, 8.64 Grains that I orderd the day I got the email notice that they were in stock and ready to ship. Kinda figueres..:(  Maybe they are seeing how many folks will order them first before they hit the order button themselves... LOL

Anyway it will probably be a month or so before they can fill my order....:( Dang

Check out PA's site for changes.  The Beeman Finale Match pellets in .177 are already DISCONTINUED.  Such rapid introduction and discontinuance of a "match pellet" is questionable.  Makes me think that my earlier speculation was correct.  PA picked up a batch of "irregular" pellets, marked them down to move them, and then discontinued the item once the "irregulars" were gone.  What's the story, PA?

Whew... glad I got my Barracuda match on the way now from PA. Sounds like you guys are having no fun at all.

On a different but similar note, Cometa is now carrying brand labeled JSB pellets. Don't know if Manou Bros. has them in the US yet though. They can be seen on the recently up and running English version of the Cometa Spain website here.
