RE SDPD range: We hope to get more dates next month...looks like we can get at least the first two Sundays..only issue is the new range master is being a D#*K head...so we have to be very careful...

There is a new range near Escondido...think it is up by Lake Wolford...I have not had time to check it out yet...

I'm thinking of clearing some brush on hill behind my house for a 50 yard shooting lane..(my property)...but I would have to shoot from off my roof...LOL....

Seems like with how depressed property values and commercial rents are that some kind of commercial steel building, quonset hut etc would be available.  I've been thinking how nice it would be to have a dedicated space that members could go use.  Just charge a monthly fee to defray rent...but then I guess you'd have all kinds of liability issues and costs.

Some guys on another forum mentioned talking to the local airports of all places..... they usually have a lot of land much of which is unused.  Based on the current geopolitical and legal climate I think a snowball would have a better chance in hell but every time I leave my house and drive by Montgomery field I think "boy they have a ton of unused space there.  There are some areas well clear of the runways that would make great shooting terrain.  There must be some place that will let us shoot!!!
