If it wasn't for bad luck...
« on: March 18, 2007, 07:16:06 AM »
....I wouldn't have no luck at all. After finally geetin my new crosman SP to shoot on paper I thought I would try it out again today. After tightening all the screws on the gun the other day and gluing the screws to the buttplate that is stripped, I thought I was all set. After 50 or so shots I adjusted the power setting and it went round and round and what the... :o . The set screw was gone. After looking on my floors for almost an hour I gave up.
A friend dropped by and we chatted outside for a while in the 30degree cold . My hands got cold,...put them in my pockets of my sweat pants and what the heck is that? The set screw for the power adjustment was in my left pant pocket! I quess that wasn't bad luck but dumb luck. But I am the dummy who never checked the screw for tightness :0 . I still think this gun is cursed.

Sounds like you and =ed are brothers in bad karma!  He's got his Airwolf, and you have your problem child.  You both must have been REALLY BAD in a previous life....;-) or was it in this one?

Ya Dave,

I don't know about you fellows, but I keep a bottle of holy water handy.

Can never tell when the air gun goblins will act up.

Just make sure that you oil your gun after using it !
