Benji barrel swap
« on: November 09, 2009, 02:42:25 AM »
Okay, been checking out each and every store possible in my driving around the local countryside to see what airguns I can find. Addicted??? What, me??? LOL
Anyway, saw a Beeman at the local Wally World that comes with dual barrels. So you can actually get 2 guns in one. .177 & .22. Well, that got me thinking and researching. Why buy a whole nuther gun, let's see if I can get a barrel for one of my existing pieces. Sent a message to Crosman and sure enough they have a .22 barrel for my Benji SS for a mere $15.65 + s/h. Beats $120+ for a different gun.
Was wondering if anyone has both barrels or calibers of the SS and what differences do you see in performance. I've never owned a .22 cal and wanted to experiment with a Chrony and accuracy tests as well as knock-down power when hunting. Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks and Happy Shooting!!!!
