False Alarm
« on: November 12, 2009, 11:25:33 AM »

So I'm sitting around in my room when I hear the sound of the mail truck pulling up. But he stays for a long time, then I hear a quiet thump on the porch (directly below my bedroom) and after a few more seconds the mail truck pulling away. I think to myself IT'S HERE!!! "It" being my B28A I sent off to Gene. I race down the stairs out the front door and there, on the porch, is a big looong white box. I grab it and immediately something in my head tells me something's wrong. It's too heavy. I look at the label and sure enough, it's from a company in WA. It was some rosewood and walnut for my uncle's carpentry.

After I got over the shock I just stood there laughing at myself on the porch for a few seconds before hauling the box inside and returning to my studying. And so the vigil continues

What're the odds of a box the right size for an air rifle showing up but not having one inside? Just thought some of you might get a laugh out it like I did.

Yea, though I walk through the garden in the shadows of pests,
I will fear no squirrel: For thou art with me;
thy scope and thy trigger, they comfort me.

I admire your self control Eric !

I would have been at the front door before he had a chance to escape ! hehehe

Today I received a bag of parts that I ordered from Crosman, not expecting them until next week, I didn't even look until my usual time, when my wife returns from work ! Just imagine having to wait until after dinner to tear into my bag of GOLD and MAGIC parts !!!! Just parts, but I really want them,,, yesterday !!!!!
