3 Days Later,,,,,,,,,
« on: November 13, 2009, 03:14:25 PM »
It has been 3 days now CAREFULLY shaping Marauder stock 001. Im just now getting the basic shape I want with many refinements in mind. It is still in the rough stages & I have not even begun on the forward part of the stock with MUCH final shaping to do on the rear end. I took a break & started a set of XX grips to relax. Shaping a stock that is "Ambi" really takes ALOT of time to constaintly measure to make sure both sides are identical. Couple of more days & I feel I can get a shape I am happy with. Then I will spend a day or two smoothing over the lines & getting ready to final sand her down!!Good thing the Wife has a good job,,, at this rate I am making NEGATIVE $10 an hour!! LOL!!Well,, on a brighter note,,, my new duplicator Machine will be here next week. Then,,,, If I dont slip up I can copy this stock in a few hours hopeing not to slip up & ruin an EXPENSIVE chunk of wood & then only a day or two of final sanding!!LOL!! Timbo.

Timmy: you sir, have some serious talent. I think you'll do just fine making stocks and selling 'em. I'm not just being supportive for the sake thereof..

Can someone fill me in on what the "Morgan Alum" on the butt means? A school? Or if it's an inside thing I won't be offended if ya just tell me it's not my business lol.

Can't wait to see it finished

Oh, makes perfect sense. I didn't make the connection alum=aluminum. Nor did I know Morgan is a brand of buttpad. That's me, dumb and ignorant to boot.

Thanks for the enlightenment Sam
