my 3rd MARAUDER
« on: November 18, 2009, 07:46:39 AM »
HEY GUYS ... I RECEIVED THE EMAIL FROM ONE OF THE CHIEFS OF CROSMAN. THEY ARE GOING TO SEND ME A NEW MARAUDER.

THIS WILL BE MY 3RD MARAUDER FROM JULY.

I WILL SEE WHAT HAPPEND.   I WANT NO MORE LEAKS.

QUESTION ... IT COULD BE BETTER IF I SET THE RIFLE TO 3000 PSI?   TO DO NOT OVERFILL THE AIR RESERVOIR.

I USE SCUBA TANK FOR REFILLING.

AND I SAW A VIDEO FILLING A PCP, DO I HAVE TO FILL IT VERY SLOWLY AND WAIT A MINUTE AFTER FULL FILL TO

LET THE OIL RINGS OR WHAT EVER IS INSIDE OF THE AIR RESERVOIR TO COOL DOWN.

BECAUSE I ALWAYS REFILLED MY RIFLE FROM 2000 TO 2600 PSI AND STARTED TO SHOOT FAST & FURIOUS!!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE //  GERALD

i hope this one is a winner! they say to fill it slow so the O rings adjust and let them cool down after words. but im not 100% sure if thats true
if at first you dont succeed, re-load, kill count 2010.

My advise....Sell it before the next problem pops up and buy an Edgun ASAP!!
http://edgun.ru/en/index.php
Amazing gun....50  good shots on a 200 bar fill. 950 fps with cphp. Small, Light, quiet. Spread of around 10fps on your shot string. Fit and finish second to none!
Then never look back.

Matthew, I SAW THAT RIFLE BEFORE AND LET ME TELL YOU IS AWSOME!!!  I WILL CHECK WHAT TO DO WITH THE MARAUDER BECAUSE I RECEIVED THE EMAIL FROM CROSMAN THAT I WILL RECEIVE A NEW ONE, THAT IS PERFECT, BUT I HAVE RETURNED 2 OF THEM $85 MORE FOR SHPPINGS, SO I DO NOT LIKE THAT WASTE OF MONEY.  I WILL SEE IF I CAN TRADE IT FOR ANOTHER PCP.

THANKS FOR THE LINK //    GERALD

Yea the Edgun would be my first choice (forgot to mention the accuracy is second to none).
2nd would be a Air Arms S410.
Better to pay a little more to start, if you can, and not have to worry about quality issues or trying to upgrade performance.
The Edgun is $1550.00, but out of the box it's amazing. I have had an FX Royale, AA S410, and Talon SS. The Edgun is
the only one I have said YES this is what a PCP is supposed to be. Of all the reviews of people who have bought one
never have I heard one problem reported.

For not much more you can get one of the repeaters from Evanix. The Renegade or the Blizzard. If you like power for hunting the Blizzard has it. I am prejudiced though, I bought one. Just be aware it is my only PCP rifle. My first PCP rifle. Shoots great, accurate and works well. Sure is nice looking as well.
Sorry to hear of your problems with the Marauder. Good luck on getting all taken care of.

I don't know if this fits the bill but I love my Career 707 in .22.  Loud but it is extremel accurate and built like a tank.  I don't get to shoot it as much as I would like but it has been sitting for a few months with 2500 psi in it.  It never leaks!
