I think I'm addicted..

..to this darn website! I have my laptop with me a lot, and there's almost always a tab open to the GTA, and another to my email to check for updates to threads I've posted to! I try to pry myself away from it by logging off, but then before I realize it I'm logged back on! There's almost always something- some thread I want to post to, a reply I need to make to someone, or a picture I can only see by logging in.

It doesn't help that everyone around here is so friendly. And supportive. And informative. And helpful. Stop it! All of you! Flame me! Ignore me! Ban me! Anything! I need help pry myself away!

Who am I kidding, I'm hooked. And probably for the better in the long run. This place has transformed me from a newb to a, well, I'm still a newb

A big thank you to all of you for making this place what it is. A forum is only as good as its membership. Awhile back I was stumbling around, looking for a good "fix" of posts that I haven't read and I discovered the "unproductive posts" section. I saw that this forum got off to a somewhat rocky start, trolls and troubles, and that makes it all the more amazing that it is what it is today. It didn't start as nice as it is now; it was made this way through the hard work of the moderators and administrators. A big kudos to them too. I used to be a mod for a different forum (unrelated to airguns) and trust me, I know just how much work it can be and moreover how hard some of the decisions are to make.

I'd also like to give a special thanks to Gene. For one, without him this forum wouldn't even exist (a big 'thanks' to Bob/CharlieDeTuna on that account also). But secondly, he's answered a bunch of my questions, public and PM'd and emailed. I'm almost certain some of them have annoyed him or wasted his time, but he's always been patient with me. Gene, you're a rare breed. Thank you. I can see why some people call you "Pops." I'm sorry for anything I've done that's obnoxious to you, especially any (and probably most all) of my emails related to the TurboTune you just did on my B28A. I'm sure I came across as impatient at times

I think I've also sent more than my fair share of PMs to Tim too. Sorry buddy if I've been a pest. (BTW should I call you Tim or Timmy??? Don't know if Timmy is reserved for certain people lol).

Bill (bcshooter) made me feel comfortable with buying/selling to private individuals for the first time because of my transaction with him involving my old TF89. And the first person that truly made me feel comfortable posting/ PMing here was Stephanie/PeakChick. I don't even remember how or why, but I just remember that I first truly felt welcome because of something she said to me (lol that probably sounds a bit weird, but I don't care cuz it's true, even if I don't remember the particulars). There's more people I could thank specifically, but I'm afraid to start a list and leave people out So I guess I'll just stop here with a general thank you to anyone who has helped me out. The only reason I'm not going to list everyone else is because it would be impractical and I'd miss some people. But know you're truly appreciated…

LOL Red, and thanks to the quality of members the GTA has as well. We are a bit different but it seems to work.. And for those of us who have been touched by Stephanie we are blessed with a very smart and knowledgeable member that she is. But it is the whole of the GTA that makes it the way it is. I personally thank everyone for your efforts to keep the GTA a clean and healthy atmosphere so all ages andgender can come and enjoy learning and sharing your knowledge as well.

It's a family thing here and it just feel's great to pop on and see the family helping one another, welcoming a new family member and moving this great forum forward as a family. We may poke some fun at one another here but it's all out of love for our brothers and sisters here. I know that I'm truly blessed by the folks that I have meet here, they are family to me and I'm a better man for knowing them. Ed

Yes, as Ed so eloquently put it, we are one BIG HAPPY FAMILY here ! I know that I have answered many questions, Prayed for many of our members, and continue to Pray for some that need it !

I miss those members that move on for one reason or another, but our ranks never decrease. They seem to grow, and GROW and replace our old buddies, and become new buddies.

So be thankful Eric, I do not believe that there are many forums like this in the whole wide world !!!

We are SPECIAL !!! Because of Bob and GENE ! They make it what it is !!!! PERFECT !!!

I'm on here EVERY NIGHT. Have been for a couple of years. I walk in the door at night, hug and kiss my  wife, and she will say, " Dinner is almost ready, so go check in."  OR, "Do you want to check in before the movie starts?" I LOVE MY WIFE!! She understands! I will say, I always put her first and foremost.I always will.
