BSA Ultra goes hunting
« on: November 23, 2009, 08:50:21 AM »
I had my BSA Ultra .177 listed in the classifieds for a while, although I had some great trade offers I didn't seem to get any solid buyers.  So I decided I should do a little hunting with it. I may have sighted this gun in and took about 30-40 shots at targets and paper. I took her out of the safe and gave her a try for some back yard hunting. Within a couple hours I saw a few tree rats moving into range.  I loaded up the magazine with CPHP's and took the safety off. I put the crosshairs on my target and gently squeezed off the shot. I heard the loud POP!! and the nutter fell from the tree and flopped over and barely moved a muscle. It was out  about 25-27 yards when the CPHP hit it mark. The BSA is definitely one fine shooter and I won't mind hanging on to it a little longer, if no one makes me an offer. I was only selling it to try to fund another shooter. well anyway here are some pics.

Nice shooting Chris!  That's a fine little shrouded carbine.  I 'm sure you 'll sell it soon.  Sometimes it's just a matter of $10 or something like that.. can make a difference.

Great shooting Chris and nice pic.  That rifle sure is a looker......   and apparently quite the capable hunter as well    :emoticon:

That is such a fine looking shooter, and accurate to boot,  I'd keep it if I could.

But I see by your list, you do have quite a herd.

Nice gun. I can't open the photo file. Is it a single or multi-shot? In the report department, is the bull barrel quieter than a regular with a fixed SAS moderator? I always want one of these shorties to complement my S410ERB...Good luck with your sale!
