PM's and the Classifieds
« on: December 01, 2009, 01:36:01 PM »
OK, I'm among the guilty who contributed to the two-screen-plus "Looking for a .22" ad on the classifieds. Don't know if we realize it, but, every time we post to a long thread like that, the other ads get pushed waaaay down to the bottom of the queue. Noticed there's been a lot of chit-chat there recently. Like I said, I'm guilty, as charged, and resolve to limit my kibbitizing, hard thought that may be.  :emoticon: I'll stick to PM's.

My apologies if that causes a problem. Should we put a limit on the number of replies to a post? Understand some posts may be better served elsewhere but I like to follow through from start to finishwith an item so othersmight benefit from my journey.
If there's a better way, I'm all for it. Sure don't want to punch a hole in the life raft. :)

I seldom look at the Classifieds but that is just ridiculous. It certainly isn't what that section was designed for. That whole thread should be deleted and started over. What a waste. As far as limiting responses; no, there should be no response limits in the classifieds but what is posted and the responses to it should be short, direct and limited in content.

Since it's concluded, why not move it to the airgun gate? Can we delete our own threads in their entirety? I thought just our contributions.
