Need Your Prayers

Hi'ya folks...

As some of you may know I have relocated to New Mexico as of September to be of service to my Mother through her cataract surgeries.  She has gone nearly blind due to macular degeneration as well as cataracts.

What makes this a unique case is that the pressure in her eyes is way over acceptable levels.  Dr. Chu(look him up) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the third highest ranked retinal doctor in the continental United States.  This man does not lose.  He is the best in his field.

I have seen this man throw his hands in the air having been baffled by my mother's case.  This is no standard issue surgery.  Hers will have many more on staff than most.  There is a critical point of entry during this surgery and Chu has given her a 60/40 chance of success with this surgery.  Not 60/40 that she will see again...  60/40 that she will survive it.  I've never seen so many release forms to be signed in my life due to the severity of her complications.

Ladies & Gents, I don't ask for much.  This one may be life threatening.

We need everything of positive influence we can get.  YOU are my family albeit I'm not on too much anymore being that I am her care-taker and it has become a full-time job.

Let's give her our best, alright?  I am scared...  whereas I do not fear much of anything.

Gents, this one's an anomaly.  The release of liability paperwork was an inch thick.  There are cases and then there are unique cases.  She's borderline of them turning down the surgery.  They need to check her eye pressure prior to the surgery.  It's usually done days before.  

Thankyou everyone who chimes in on this.  She's the only Mother I've got.  I've seen her through many things.  If anything, they call the whole thing off if she's not up to par.  We can only hope & pray...

Thankyou everyone for your unending support.  

The surgery went well and with no complications.  There isn't even evidence a surgery was done at all.  She was in there longer than the others in that she was a very special case.  I started getting nervous having seen so many come out before her who went in well after she went in.  It's alright and I know that each of your prayers helped.

Ha!  Now "I" need your prayers due o the stress of the whole thing!  I cook, I drive, I clean, I paint, I see her through her meds and eye drops, other geriatric cleaning duties(if you know what I mean), and I must admit it's been a challenge.  I am glad to be here to be of service...  now I just need to sleep at some point.  When I have no idea but it's next on my list.

If I my ask for specific words...   my Mother and I both need healing.  It has been a long and arduous road.
