stainless barrel shroud..
« on: December 14, 2009, 05:02:45 PM »
The Career was the only gun I had not fiddled with...

So I built a new barrel shroud.75mm shorter than std
&  bigger in dia..It contains 3 chambers separated by
cones welded in place..
The first chamber uses the space between the barrel &
shroud  by fluteing the centreing spacer at the end of the barrel
to let the air travel down the shroud...The end has a 20tpi 1/2" unf
thread .....

Well yer don't need ear plugs...Has funny
airy/wind type sound.....Going to get a short
thing "that will remain nameless"  to screw on the end...

Spent half the day trying to track down a small peice of
12mm brass to make a barrel band from...The min cut length
they will sell is a metre..."thats a lot of barrel bands"
PS......I think we are going to need a
metre of 12mm Brass flat bar at work tomorrow...In fact
I'm sure of it....LOL
