AK 47 Home tune ??
« on: December 15, 2009, 04:13:05 AM »
I tryed my first home tune job , & I've been taking it apart 5-6 time , I deburred the wrong part? or took a stone to it to much?
Problem -When I try to cock it It won't stay but just for a sec Then let's go ,I put in the QF2 Kit spring,
that is allot more power& very Load? like 22 mag pistol Load??

If I put the saftey on then cock it & very slowly take the safe off ! Then you have a gun that will go off with a hair touch??" & very load!!

anyone know a fix of have I Mass up my gun?

Ron

I can't remember off hand but I think it has the same trigger/sear system as the B-3's etc. If it's the trigger sear or blade that you changed the shape on or removed to much I wouldn't even attempt to use it. The good new's is that if that's the case I have spare B3 part's along with trigger assemblies and if you need one just let me know buddy. Just PM your addy and I'll send one out to you no charge bro and these assemblies of mine have been polished and tested so just pop it in. :) If you changed the angle on the piston back wear the sear catch's then the any sear will never catch and we'll be looking at another piston. Got one of those too, let me know. :) Is this the trigger, spring and sear that you have in your shooter, pic below. :) Ed

Thank you Shadow ,
But the shear is not the same?
I ordered the Kit from summit & the spring is about 3-4" longer & more power on the shear ..

1 Down (I called Archer air no help) They only have parts for QB guns, They don't have or carry parts
for any Chinaese guns?
She said once they break " that's it"....
With the stronger Spring could going back too the ORG Spring take some load off the shear??
just thinking??
Shadow the Kit came with a shear but was not like the one in the AK.
thanks for the offer though, that's very good off you.

Are the trigger parts in Shadows picture the right one's???? I'm thinking the trigger in the B-3 AK is different, am I right???? The ones pictured look like the ones for the underlever type B 3-1/2/3,,,,,,

Hi, Guy's just got in some shoppin:( ok it was not all bad..
Thanks Jeff, But Shadow made a good point (call Mike) & I did ! What a great guy ,He's making me a sear too go in my gun  :) ,
Just a Note More sanding does not make a better shooter!! Mistake#1-3..
I went over too far on the top /Had like a tooth inthe middle sticking up so I stoned it off / well that was what was a miscasting job from molding??
But with it gone No hooking the latch on the piston rod!

But does anyone have one that's extra loud?
Mike said a bad seal can make it louder, just they are loud guns!
On about the 4-5th take down of this gun ! I took the longer spring out & put the Org' back in,
Note : before taking the pistol grip off look inside ther is a Nut there put some goop on the side of it,
If you don't it will fall out / & it's***** too get back in, The Bolt that goes through the handle that is
what the Nut goes too.
:)  Thanks for all the help / I'll post more notes as my mine thinks of them?

I got the parts you need, just send me an e-mail with your address and I'll get them on the way....when you say a B-3 there are two models and they aren't near the same....kind of a pain even when you say the AK type....I hope you only messed up the trigger sear, if you did work on the tanf of the piston you may also have changed the angle there...I'll see if I have a piston also.....

Yep it's the one in Jeff's post, sear fit's in the trigger ?
I tired again last night too make the angle more sharp but that did not work ! I just think is too short at the top & Add that too the piston play!
By that I mean you can move the piston rod, may be 1/16" with the gun put together, move it with a small screw driver in the spring? , That's what not making any seance to me , I 'm sure I did not take  an 1/8 " off -any part!
Just cleaned up with a wet stone ?
But may be went too far??
Also the sear is a tight fit in the trigger? I put the pin in and worked back & forth to see where it was dragging & only polished the high spots ! But never got it
just right? and did not want too take too much off . Also the Trigger is off set too the left & rubs the side at metal housing , The I used the fine 400 paper,
too make room for the off set, still may need more ,But that can weight for now.
Mike's got a sear for me so that will get me shootin.
