« on: December 17, 2009, 03:03:39 PM »
Was in Dunham's tonight and they had the raven on sale for $90 equipped with the centerpoint version of the leapers compact bug buster and offset mount. the gun I could take or leave. the sale was ending but Dunham's seem to run the same sales often.

i saw that combo here in the ft.worth academy sports and outdoors for $79.   i wanted that short scope and offset mount, but i got the accu-air 1100 for $59 instead.

We had a Dunham's in town (Anderson, IN) when I was growing up in the 70's, but I don't think I've seen one since like 1984...
Didn't know they were still around!

I just BING'ed Dunhams, and it turns out they're still in Indiana, and even still in my old hometown (just not in the same building).  I had no idea.
Thanks.  Next time I go visit my folks, I'm gonna check them out.
I imagine all the money I spent on CO2 and pellets back in the day helped them finance the move :)

I'd still be wary of it joek.

I purchased this combo from my Dunham's for only $63 out the door but it was a refurb.

The gun needed a good tuning that I was able to provide and it turned out real nice but the scope I received in the package is fish eyed.  It "works" but is hardly good glass.  The gun was too small for my frame and so I sold it to someone but I kept the scope for reasons I haven't figured out yet.

You may get a good scope in your package but I'd watch for a better sale price.  'Course, mine was a factory refurb.
