GRT-III Trigger results
« on: March 26, 2007, 04:02:07 PM »
Well, Bob Werner has certainly created an excellent product - it has allowed me to dramatically reduce my 5-shot group size.

After a little break-in period of 1500 rounds or so the Gamo Varmint Hunter was starting to get a little smoother and more importantly, I was becoming more and more accustomed to it's particular style of recoil. Even with the 4*32 Gamo scope supplied I was only able to get 3/4" groups @ 25yds. The stock trigger was just bloody awful - heavy and creepy as hell. After a very easy retrofit with CDT's GRT-III trigger I  immediately felt the difference in my ability to 'surprise' myself when the trigger let go. The trigger is crisp and easy and really feels quite nice on the ball of my finger. It is a far superior trigger compared to the stock Gamo.

Using Crow Magnums I was able to shrink my groups from 3/4" to 3/8" @ 25yds., and 3 of the 5 shots were essentially in the same hole!

Thanks Bob, for an outstanding trigger mod!

Mike in Van.

Welcome to the Gamo crowd's Shootin' Bench. I'd just gotten a Viper and shot about 1,100 rds through her, when she decided to jump the FedEx truck and go see CDT for a TurboTune & GRTIII Trigger. said she was tired of being a 50/50 Blonde. Came back a jam-up Redhead that is much smoother and easier to the touch. Yep, Ms Vi is surely different to handle....  8)
