3-9x40 setup for disco ?

I am thinking of purchasing a full size 3-9x40 AO leapers scope for my .177 Discovery. I would like to know if anybody is using this setup and would medium rings work?

hilario,...before mounting my 6x24x50 leapers, i test fitted my 4x16x40 centerpoint on my disco. using medium rings, it fits fine. verrrrrrrry close as to the flip up cover interfering with the breech block.

i settled on the 6x24x50 using high mount rings..............( pictured)

Somewhere on Leaper's website it lists what mount height with up to what size scopes.

If I remember they state the medium height Leapers mounts are good for up to 45 mm.  Based on that, when I ordered my Leapers 3-12 x 44, I also ordered the medium height one-peice mounts. And like with triry's 50mm and high mounts, my Leaper's flip-up cover just clears the reciever, but it does clear without any problems. The 40mm with medium mounts should have no problems either.
