Well, Jason, I'm an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician with additional certifications for Diagnostics and Heavy Truck. I work for a family owned chain of 26 auto repair shops and specialize in headaches( computer driveability problems), but do all kinds of auto and light truck repairs as they come in. It's a pain as I work Saturdays (seems to be a big city afflicition), but like you, it pays the bills.

I work construction in one of those places people go to to get away from their daily grind.  Mostly high end second homes, logs, timberframes, that sort of thing.  I'm primarily a finish guy and cabinet maker, but I've done my share of framing and concrete, and still do, if needed.  I'm what used to be called a jack of all trades.  Luckily for me, I found the perfect company for my skills a couple of years ago.  Being able to pay the bills is great, but loving your job and the people you work for makes it something special.

I'm an IT consultant, working for a software company, that basically pimps me out to other corporate companies, that don't know how to do their job.
But to pay for my airgun addiction, and to have some extra spending money, I created  http://www.stokstyf.co.za ,  where I make some money from ads, and I sell stuff here... http://www.all-about-airguns.co.za

I am a life safety systems inspector.  Mostly fire systems, some security and cctv.  I  work in many locations including banks, schools, hospitals, large office buildings,  prisons,  jails, police facilities, and many manufacturing facilities.  Work is pretty much the same everywhere I go, but I get to see some really interesting places and meet some really interesting people.  3 years and 8 months from now, I will be retiring.  My pellet costs will rise sharply.

Retired too....was a high school teacher (urban area public high school...war zone stuff).

Retirement didn't sit well with me.  When back to college (you'd think you'd get immunity with your first exposure....like mumps....evidenlty not) and learned X-ray.

Katrina did me in...total loss, just what me and my wife could fit into two cars....but bought a new house (OK...am buying...a house note again) and am working at one of the local hospitals doing the ER's and OR's fluro work and general x-ray.

.

I volunteer, teaching vets computers, and a few programming, at the local VA hospital, consulting and some installing for non-profits, and do custom programming and special machines once in a while if I feel like it. It's not exciting.

Retired, couple of degrees that are worthless now, and I write tech and pop techstuff, and now SF. Maybe it will sell.

I shoot airguns to get away from it all. My wife is not all that happy with this, but she has her garden. :) :) :)

I'm a Facilities Manager. New the the Managment side of things though. Through the years I've been a Marine Corps Grunt,  Navy Sailor, Maintenance Mechanic in Paper Mills, Steel Mills, Foundries etc... Also worked as an ASE certified Mechanic, welder & fab guy. This Facilities Manager job sucks. Not enough pay, too many hours and not enough "Creativity" needed. I need to go back to turnin wrenches!

I am a trailer mechanic, working for a company that builds gas trailers. Mainly CO2(kind of a wonder I dont own any CO2 guns huh? Since I have an endless supply at work LOL) Nitrogen,NOS,Propane,Helium,Chlorine, and so on and so forth. I keep on thinking as I get older that a desk job doesnt sound too bad....

Outside plant tech for a major telcom company. Yep, climb telephone poles, maintain systems and make sure your I-Net works so we can all come to GTA everyday :) . Can anbody say "fiber-optic" sights? 8)
