Culled squirrel this morning
« on: March 28, 2007, 11:06:40 AM »
My weld shop next to woods attracts all kinds of wildlife ,outside thats great but cant have them inside ,very expensive equipment. So,this morning i walk in shop a squirrel is in shop going crasy because i have 5 shop cats and 2 mother cats with babies 3 weeks old,9 total. So he runs out door and into woods, thought he would never stop,up a tree he goes,he was jumping all around in the tree tops,so i thought  maybe i would scare him off even more and he wouldn,t come back. So i grabbed Viper and one Tomahawk, using mono pod i waited for him to stop and he finally did,i put crosshair on head and sqweezed,i heard that very familiar thump and he fell dead,i aimed for head ,that way it would be a clean kill or a clean miss.So i retrived squirrel layed on plywood on ground and laid rife down ,went to take a pix and cat runs up and grabs squirrel ,so i had to chase cat and squirrel, finally got squirrel from cat and this time took pix of him on table top. I then took my range finder and from where i kneeled down for shot ,it was 38 yds. to spot where i took him out.So ,i sit down and to play harmonica and drink coffee and a raccoon come in shop and tries to climb my tool box ,at firt i thought it was a cat,but it was a big coon about 5 feet from me ,scares the living sh#$ out of me and he takes off to woods, and i didn,t get up ,i told myself ,to much excitement for one morning.
 What a morning, Paul
