the Mendoza won't sound like a .22 rifle
I have one. It's an accurate rifle, has nice metal work, a nice trigger, a really nice stock and feels really nice to hold and shoulder and a pretty good shooter. However,,,,,, the "controlled dieseling" is a factor in keeping the fps up. Without adding the chamber lube the fps will drop down into the 650 - 700 range. It will keep consistent fps levels but they'll be much lower than "spec".
With the lower fps level it kinda makes a nice lower powered "backyard" pest shooter. Add the chamber lube and you're back up in the 900's.
I'm glad I have one in my collection but even though I like it I don't think I'd get another one.....
