BC Washer help
« on: January 09, 2010, 01:21:41 AM »

I have an older Big Cat that I just recently did a hometune on. I also have the GRT III trigger.
I have a small flat, black washer that I'm uncertain where it goes. I had it under the larger trigger assembly screw that holds the trigger guard on, but I'm starting to doubt that it goes there.

Any of you BC owners, can you take a look at your gun and tell me where that washer goes? I'm not sure if it goes inside the stock or on the outside. Someone please help.

Thanks in advance.

Is it a washer or 'e-clip'?  Got a picture next to a penny or something to show size?

Sorry, I don't have a picture but it's a washer. Definitely not an e-clip. It's the only washer on the whole gun. I'm beginning to think it went on the inside of the stock. I just don't recall a washer on the outside of the gun. Thanks Larspawn

The washer may well go where you said you had it, at the rear trigger guard bolt.   I have tried to remember any washers as you described in/on the BCs internals and do not remember any.   You did not take the trigger apart did you?

I have placed brass washers under the bolts on the fore part of the stock and on the rear trigger guard bolt to prevent the fasteners from digging into the plastic stock.  Maybe it came that way from where ever you acquired the BC.

How big is the washer? Is it plastic and about 1/4" in size? if so it goes under the roller on the cocking arm.

Motodad you might be right. I will pull the stock off. The washer is exactly like you described.

What Motodad said is correct I would think.  It's a 1/4" black plastic washer that goes on the pin on the cocking linkage inbetween the linkage and roller (Black plastic cylinder with a hole).  Even without the washer the BC should still cock/work perfectly.....I had lefted it out the second time I took my gun apart.  I put it back on the third time I took the gun apart.  The Viper and Whisper do not have this part on their guns.......just the roller.

Gamo2hammerli, you're exactly right. I'm certain that's where it goes now. I vaguely remember it falling out when the roller fell out too and I picked up the roller but forgot to install the washer at the same time. I will fit the washer back in its place once I have the stock off again. I havn't noticed any differences in how the gun cocks or works so I'll assume that it's not an essential piece. I hope you're right....hehe.
Thanks for the help guys!
