Beeman RS2 Sportsman Rifle

Does anyone know what kind of accuracy I can expect at 20-30 yards with the Beeman RS2 Sportsman break barrel rifle?

I have the Beeman RS2 Sportman in synthetic black and it groups quite well with cheap daisy wad cutter pellets in .22 caliber. All I've done to mine was a deburr and lube tune, and just in the last 2 weeks chopped the barrel and recrowned it. It will shoot 5 shots touching each other from 15 yards. The trigger is completely stock and to be honest I haven't shot this gun alot so the trigger is still rough. I mean really rough. But I think the gun will come around even better with some trigger work. I also just chopped the .177 barrel but haven't shot it yet. I will shoot some groups in the next few days and post some photos so you can see what mine can do.

My Rs2 shoots great. My gun likes crosman premiers the best, i can shoot penny size groups at 25 yards when i'm doing my part. The trigger are my gun is first and second stage adjustable, and i believe yours is too. I think the trigger on this gun is sweet. I have the Rs2, but it has open sights also and comes with two barrels. Rs2 sportsman is stamped on the reciever. Make sure all your screws are tight and your gun will group nicely. Mine wasn't penny size at first but after 2000+ pellets through it, it's amazingly accurate. If your guns has the adjustable trigger, set the trigger to the way you like it, and your groups will shrink more. Here is a group i shot at 25 yards. Also, if you want the best performance, try as many pellets as you can. My gun is very picky, and most cheap pellets don't shoot well. Matt

I have an RS2 w/ adaisy powerline 3-9x32 scope set up in .22 it will shoot quarter size group's at 35 yds.all day long with cheap daisy wadcytter's.IF I do MY part!!!!! lol

Thanks Fella's for the expert information on the Beeman  RS2 accuracy. Based on your positive reviews, I will get the last one that's in a sealed box at big 5 today. It's the last .177 they have with the black stock, which I really like. I had a crossman phantom .177. It was really nice looking and cocked pretty smooth out of the box, but I could never get better than 1.5-2" groups at 20 yards. That just not good enough for me. I gave it to my brother-in-law who shoots cans and whatever. It is plenty accurate for him. I can do dime size and less groups consistantly at 20 yards with four different pellets, and sometimes ragged 5 shot holes. My Gamo CFX was tuned by Gene Curtis.

Just Bought a beeman rs2 . love the gun..shot about 300 crossman wadcuters at only 10. 0 yds  but this is what I don't understand.the first three shots are wild . then the next 8  go into the same hole. the 1 or 2 go wild ..I  stop shooting for 2-3 min and again this happens..3 wild shots than a beautifully group of 6- 8 [less than a dime] than  2 -3 go wild.    repeatedly ..the three screws that secure the barrel are loctited.I'm  using a centerpoint scope from a  crosman storm .. [very good scope better than one supplied ].  no tune done ..  trigger is adjusted for stage 1 and 2 and weight . no problem  here. I just don't know if this is something observed by more experienced shooters. wondering why it shoots very well [even oly10 yds] .. but than goes nuts..[lol] doing my part .. but to not avail ..   ?? help driving me crazy..kicked it out of my bed .. !!

I've found mine to be extremely accurate, but they were both tuned by John in PA. They're both Walmart versions of the "dual caliber" one, and they retail brand new for around $125...so I think they're a steal and very accurate.
