Ron, those 48's are real "hammers" !!!

They're also extremely accurate, at least I know the new ones are.  I have one in .20 caliber and it's a fantastic rifle.  If I was going to get one in .177 I'd shoot heavier pellets in it.  The 48's are nice and short, which is nice for hunting.  They are heavy, but very easy to install sling swivels on so the weight issue can be easily addressed.

Buying a refurb is of course a personal decision, but the 48 "platform" is a nice, hefty, solid, hard shooting platform.....

Thanks for that input?
i'll keep Dreamin!!
me with 1 good arm ? think it would be a hand full?
my B-3 AK47 that I tryed a home tune on, & ended putting the stock spring back in? gives me a work out after 20 shots, & with me not being a hunter -
any more , & live in the city/? have to think where that 117 would go if I mist the back stop?.

But that is a very good deal on a RWS 48, I think?
Thanks
Jeff,
& the b-3 you put the QF2 spring in? what is the fps?
you said it added a little more Zipp to it? --How much? zip are we talking 600-700?
I think right now I'm at 500? & the cocking is easy!
& if I shoot a coke can filled with water- from 15yrds it will not go all the way through?
& i have Bounce back from the 3/4 ply wood
back stop?
