110 shot string with reduced power disco
« on: January 17, 2010, 11:04:04 AM »
Well I finally put my Disco to the chrony.I drilled out the shot tube end-cap a quarter inch deeper to reduce power when I made a power adjuster.Using the stock spring and lowest setting I filled to 2000psi and shot until I reached my starting FPS,which was 506fps.Ending at 400 psi and racking up 112 shots before I hit 507fps again. The sweet spots was from 1400 psi to 700 psi getting roughly 50 shots with a high of 660 and a low of 620 back down to 615 at 700 psi and 50 shots.here's the full string.

Great string.  How is the noise level at those FPS?  Would it be acceptable for indoor shooting? What power adjuster are you using?  The noise level on the Disco is the only thing that's putting me off from buying one, since my neighbors live very close by.

thats very interesting...I have a 2240 with .177 14" barrel been going to
put it on air but didn't know how low I could go in output pressure...
There are a lot of 3000psi tanks with 850psi output  here for paint ball guns
"real cheap" compaired to importing...
The more shots per fill the better.....

You are getting good numbers at 800psi....
What cal is the gun....  .177 or .22 ?

The gun is a .22.I made the power adjuster from directions I found on this site somewhere.I drilled the end cap that the hammer spring sits in out a 1/4 inch to reduce power (Bahwanna's idea). The noise is considerably less, little more than a *_*_*_*_*_*t.
