B26 Trigger pull rekord?
« on: January 19, 2010, 01:33:27 PM »
Firstly this is my first time experience with the B26 and rekord !! I have looked at the great explanation of the rekord trigger and info in the library. I am mechanically minded and understand the rear screw with the spring is important to keep sear S3 in place and the idea of the front screw adjustment. I have adjusted my trigger every which way I know ... trying to make more pounds of pull and detectable point of fire...
Best I can get is first stage as minimal  and then its what I call somewhere around a hair trigger to light pull second. It is also difficult to tell same point of fire each time and more like a surprise, this maybe ok on targets for some people... IMO it is not suited for safe kid use which is another big problem:(  I am not comfortable with my kids using this trigger with  possible loose screws and unwanted firing:(.
Based on what I have read  about this trigger,  I cannot believe that I have a typical rekord and thinking now I have a Dud? " light or hair" . I would concider the purchase of a new trigger set and if I should expect a better and adjustable trigger. I have not found anywhere that sells the trigger?
Maybe someone can tell me if its even possible to install a new trigger set, without special mating of sear etc?  I am stumped on this one?  I  hate to give up just yet and junk such an accurate gun.  Any thoughts, ideas, help  will be greatly appreciated, Tony.

« Reply #1 on: January 21, 2010, 04:27:31 AM »
Ok I have made some small headway,Thanks for the PM:)  Trigger is still very light and therefore I am not convinced that all is 100% correct and it is not a dud, this thing has really got to me flumoxed!:)  Maybe other have seen this problem to?
I am curious if someone may know what the most pounds trigger pull I should expect from the B-26 rekord style trigger?   Hoping someone out there has messed around with this trigger first hand or can suggest a possible link.  Any help is welcome. Thanks Tony.
