Calling Furseeker! And another NEW gun!
« on: January 21, 2010, 11:54:59 AM »
Hey man I finally put a scope on the Daisy :)  I've got to say it is pretty accurate at 10 yards and not bad out to 20 yards.  It is just so much quieter than my springers.  Hate pumping though!  :)

When my new gun came in I just grabbed the little 4 x scope off of it and put it on the old gurl. I think I've had that gun for 20 years.  I don't even remember how I got it.  I went out and shot about 50 wadcutters.  I even tried to figured out how to lob a shot on 3 pumps out to my bait to scare off the skunks.  I'm aiming about two feet over.

My NEW gun is a Titan!  I got it for only $88 WITH a 4 x scope!  I thought it was an outstanding deal.  She has a new scope on the way too!  I cleaned this nasty black gunk out of the barrel.  I fired it at my pellet trap and thought I missed it.  I actually hit a bullseye with open sights.  After that I went to plinking tin cans out to 35 yards with the open sights.

Yep that's just what my new daisy looks like and they can be great little close range shooters. The Titan is a good looking gun too. I will be ordering a new UTG scope mount for my B28 this week and I hope I can get her shooting as nice as some of the other B28's and 350's out there. I like the trail camera pictures so keep them coming.

I put the camera out at about 5 PM.  My wife has been saving scrap for the varmits.  That works out great if I can keep the Skunks away.  I've got to say Sardines have been the best raccoon bait.  It does bring the cats out in force though.  I have the dinger up in the bedroom tonight.  I didn't get enough sleep last night, but I figure with the weather they may be coming around 4 AM.  My biggest problem is getting up and clearing my head enough to shoot!  I'll try and take a nap tomorrow after work and just stay up.

I have one of those mounts on my 350 and they work great!  I've never seen it move.  Since I missed my shot with the TF 89 last night, I put it on the shelf and got out "The Beast".  I shot it about 20 times at the side of a catfood can.  I put 10 right in the UPC label at 30 yards, so I know she is dead on and ready.

If you decide on another new gun, I'd suggest on of these TF 89s or the clones.  While I'm sure a lot of it is because I've been reading the forums here and getting hints and tricks, they are accurate right out of the box.  The Titan was hitting my cowbell and some cans at 35 yards with open sights.  I didn't even move them from when I unboxed the gun. That is pretty solid if you ask me.
